There are several possibilities depending on what type of light bulb you wish to buy. The following is a list of some online suppliers who have good prices, but it is worth checking between them as the best value can change from week to week.

The article about low energy lighting in LwT Vol 2 No 5 (Jan 2005) had a table of 'Best Buys' depending on what type of CFL light bulb was being bought. The article is on Paul's LwT CD. From the 'Best Buys' for CFLs, online suppliers were not always the best value, Robert Dyas (hardware shop chain) had some of the best buys. The article also highlighted that lowest price was not necessarily the best buy. Tesco often had the lowest price, but did not appear in the best buys as the life expectancy of the bulb was shorter than others.
